It's a bit cheesy!

No I definitely won't be watching.
During this last week I've had more than enough of buntings and union Flags to last me several life times. We saw cars driving around with union flags waving, and gardens with proper flag poles which I suppose fly the flag all the time - all very bizzare.
I even saw metal bollards in one town with knitted tea cosy type things with the union flag pattern and a little 'king' perched on the top of them.

There's always a load of tat produced for this sort of event. We were in Jersey last week and there was nothing to be seen except some decoration in some of the shops. But if people are enjoying it and having fun, where's the harm ?
We've put some bunting over the front door, which will annoy a nasty little man who lives in our little hamlet !

Won't be watching - at least not deliberately - but I wonder what will be the questions, nay inquisition, at our association annual lunch on Sunday. I rather suspect that they (all French) have a much greater interest than we do.

I won't be watching - I'll be watching paint dry . . . in my daughter's new apartment.

Tat sells! I remember a cousin who had 6 souvenir shops in central London telling me that the more tacky the product, th"e better it sold.
The French are not immune either - some of the more ghastly Limoges porcelaine sells like nobody's business.
I'll be gardening gently today, beffore the next dollop of wet stuff arrives.

I’ll be watching on tv/listening on radio to some of the Coronation, for the splendour of the procession and in particular the music specially written for the occasion - 12 pieces, I understand.
