I can't find it in any supermarket near me. Red wine vinegar, cider vinegar, balsamic vinegar.........................................
I'm not that fussed ( there is one cucumber recipe that is much nicer with white wine vinegar) but just curious. Available everywhere in UK.
White wine vinegar.

White wine vinegar.
I've had the same problem. Instead I've used both Japanese rice vinegar and cider vinegar in the past.

Elsie - Japanese rice vinegar will solve my problems, I am fairly sure.
Veem - many thanks but I am not desparate.
Just curious as to why the French don't use it!

White wine vinegar.
Vinaigre de Chardonnay is available in some of the larger supermarkets. I think it is Maille brand but cannot check because my stock has run out and been replaced by Vinaigre de van blanc - Auchan own brand.

White wine vinegar.
They do use it but like so many other things, it's been missing from the shelves for some time.

White wine vinegar.
On the other hand, I was looking for red wine vinegar last week and only found one branded bottle of something that resembled rose.
