I agree with all of the previously mentioned!
I don't watch quiz games - so am at least spared that (is it ok to use "so" in that context?!)
What is a big bug bear of mine though is those people who finish every sentence on an uplift, like it's a question, when it's not.

Seriously though, if we're having a moan about what annoys on tv, my biggest gripe is background music. Anything on Ch. 4 or 5 is accompanied by what sounds like an electronic harp - plong, plong, plong, getting louder until it suddenly stops; and then there's
Portaloo with his train journeys. What started it off for me was Attenborough's journey to the bottom of the ocean, where there is absolute silence, except that no, there was a symphony orchestra blaring away.

I too hate background music with a vengeance, often have to turn it down but then up again for the speech. I began to think it was my ears that had become unable to distinguish between the two.
