Yep, we woke to lightening and thunder around 3h45. Rain eventually arrived around 4h30. Definitely need the rain and grateful for it.

Storms are in the forecast again for tonight into tomorrow morning. Chance of some grêle.

There was loud rumbling thunder at some point overnight and it clearly rained a bit too. This morning the sky is completely overcast.

The sky lit up around 1h30 here. It never stopped. It was a massive light show all night long. Didn't let up until around 6h00. Lots of rain and we all need that.

Same here, storms started at 2am then went on and on but not very close.
Had 22mm of good rain over night, only had 16mm for all of July.

Another hot dry one here - though my definition of hot may be cooler than yours - maybe touching 30C

A loud night of thunder all around - some so loud they shook the house! Lots of rain, and constant flashing. Same due tonight, so car is staying under cover. Higher winds and hail forecast again. :? I have to have an afternoon nap to make up for the sleepless nights!

Same here as you Bayleaf. During the day into the 30's but for some reason I have a stinking cold.

Yep, got little sleep last night. Between the constant thunder and room lighting up to the excruciating pain in my upper left thigh (must be a pinched nerve - no idea what I did), there was little to no sleep. And yes, same forecast for tonight.

I'll take the rain though, with pleasure.

Sorry about your cold Wilbro. Summer colds are awful.

It’s a pleasant summer’s day here in Berkshire, lovely sunshine and feeling much warmer than the 23C that was forecast. Much preferable to the 34C of our place in the Gard, but then we didn’t buy it for the summer.
