We'll be spending tomorrow on the beach as SNSM first aiders at an event that's part of the Route du Rock concerts that happen every year here. The forecast is sunny and not too hot ... but knowing the reliability of the météo, we'll just have to take it as it comes. We work with the CRS who'll be the ones to go into the water :D

I unroll the shutters first thing for some cool air but after that, down they go and windows are closed.
As for the oven, it hasn't been adjusted since the last storm as no an understand the instructions...

We had a two day summer in Berkshire this week, Wednesday and Thursday, and paid for it yesterday with rain most of the night and thunder from the early hours both lasting until heading for lunchtime.

The forecast was for more in the afternoon, but it didn’t materialise, thank goodness, as we had taken my 90 year old brother out.

We had more heavy rain on and off from around 21.00h and into the night, but the sun is shining this morning, it’s 20C now, should have a high of 23C.

There’s a strong SSW wind; the south-west of England has Storm Betty, which arrived yesterday evening - a friend was saying that it was really blowing a hoolie, while another friend says it’s Mork and Mindy.

Big montgolfier meet this weekend in Brissac. Forecast excellent but actual weather cloudy and showers. Hopefully it will pick up this pm and they can fly then.

Send some of that wind down here will you, someone?
If I thought previous days were bad, today's forecast is for a dry, still, stifling 36°.

It was very warm with a light breeze yesterday afternoon for the concert. The beach was heaving, like sardines in a tin .... This photo was taken by someone who must have been standing next to us !

Ugh! Not my idea of fun at all!

Hot week coming up, I've already had enough of outdoor work by 9am. Two hours of fairly constructive stuff and phewy!! Did manage an earlyish horse ride yesterday - nice if you can stay in the shade or woodland. But once you're in the sun, oh the FLIES! They're driving us all nuts!!

Looks like the temperature rapidly drops on Friday - I hope they're right. I can't even work in this heat.

We thank heavens we are not still in the Vaucluse (41 and 40 everyday til Friday).

Yep, it's hot here and true not much of a breeze either. I feel sorry for the cows on the hills. They do have some trees, so I suppose they gather under them. The donkeys next door have lots of shade, thank goodness. Feel sorry for anyone who has to work outside.

We keep things closed up, but are able to enjoy lunch on the terrace as it is covered. While out there, you could hear a pin drop it is so quiet. Direct sun is HOT.

Nor mine ! As for riding in the heat, no thanks. We used to take them out very early in the morning or in the evening.
As for Saint Malo in July and August, we avoid it like the plague unless for "work" commitments.
