Peaked at 37C yesterday, we fortunately have the whole houses fitted with A/C
I don't envy you your leccie bill.
If I start feeling overly warm indoors I'll take a stroll around the garden then when I come back indoors it feels refreshingly cool.

If it was this hot every summer I'd probably move too Blaze,
It's still doesn't seem as hot as 2003 here, although the birds have gone very quiet and there are no insects to be seen, so who knows what tomorrow may bring.
I do sometimes wish I could afford clim - I might sleep out doors on the trampoline tonight.
2003 was the canicule year we bought an inflatable paddling pool ,depth about 9 inches, to keep our feet cool. A large instruction on the side of the pool said " No Diving "

Our son spent most of the time in the bath full of cold water. I thought one day, we'll go shopping the supermarkets are always cool, but when I opened the car door and realised it was a furnace inside I changed my mind, no clim in the car we had then.
It was relatively hot and humid yesterday evening and there were a couple of claps of thunder at around 8 o'clock. However, we were woken up by a terrific storm at around 5 o'clock : thunder and lightning all around and over us for nearly an hour. A couple of really loud crack made us jump. Torrential rain for a few minutes .... now it's all moved east and all is silent again.
We could do with some torrential rain here, but it's promised for tomorrow. It's been 38° for 3 days now and too hot at night - I hate overheated bedrooms at the best of times.
It's supposed to drop by more than 10° tomorrow - I hope they've got that right!

Last night was horrendous - but tomorrow round here, like you, we should be back to rain and temperatures in the low 20's, that's probably going to feel a bit chilly after this, today's supposed to be hotter than yesterday.
