Not me guv.

It's all happening here!
Pompiers are in my barn charging the spare batteries for their drone whilst a 'proper' helicopter flies in circles around out area.
Took some getting out of 'em but apparently some guy was violent towards his partner, scarpered & they're out looking for him.
Deffo wasn't me guv. I've just cut the lawn in this scorching heat & I've hardly got the energy to lift one foot in front of the other.

My OH often tells me about threads on forums about French men abusing, impregnating, and then locking them out of the family home. Seems like this sort of crap is not uncommon.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Maybe because law enforcement, certainly in the past, ignored domestic violence - until it was too late.

Wasn't Macron in a call centre when he overheard just such a conversation?

And Mad87 helped me try to sort out another situation - without success as the Police ignored my complaint - until there was an incident in public with an iron bar - when they could no longer turn a blind eye.

Latest info.in Le Telegramme on line is that the victim was walking her dogs in the lane from her house adjoining our field when the assailant approached from behind, cable tied her up & removed part of her clothing. Victim now in hospital
Huge manhunt failed to find assailant. Local 'news' has it her partner was away working. The police haven't informed anyone around here as to what's going on.
Bloody scary when it's only a few hundred metres away from our house.

That's horrible. I'd feel very unsafe knowing he's still out there. How did the police find out about the attack? Was the victim able to call for help?

I hope she was able to give them a description of her attacker.

Not much local news about things.
Seems like Les Flic are keeping things to themselves at the mo.
I friend of ours down the road who goes riding with Mrs LAF has a copper husband who has forbidden her to go alone to her horse's field.
We've got 6 cameras covering most of our 'estate' so I think we're reasonably safe. Notwithstanding that I'm sleeping with a very heavy club by the bedside.

Terrible. Let's hope the police know more and are choosing to keep quiet while they track the attacker. The thought of him never being caught will mean this poor woman will never have a moment's peace. And everyone nearby will wonder if he's still around.

And in the middle of the day. He must have known the area had few neighbors. And he came prepared. Scary.
