20cms of rain fell in and around Nîmes this morning. Makes 13cm at Agen seem paltry by comparison. It’s blowing up here in 47 so far the storm has tracked the other side of the Garonne, but it’s just jumped over.

The forecast showed no clue this rain was coming.
Perhaps you got the storms that we were forecast that didn’t arrive. 🙂

Big storm heading towards us from the Bordeaux area. Constant rumbles in the distance. Last strike on the lightningmap.org showed a couple the other side of Thiviers, so gradually heading NW.

No doubt will be unplugging soon, as we've lost too many boxes over the years to take chances.

Nope. Nothing to attach it to. We haven't yet managed to get a flue liner into the chimney. I am having to downsize the diameter of liner because protruding stones won't allow a 200mm liner to pass through. I have been several months sourcing all the fittings and bits to go from the top of the woodburner to the register plate. A couple of bits I've had to fabricate myself. The last thing to find is the flexible liner in 180mm. Nothing in any of the sources near me. Might be another winter without a liner, and now possibly without the booster fan that has proved very helpful up until now. Today's rain is pouring down the chimney and making its way onto the lounge floor. Not a happy bunny.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Missed once again, thunder n lightning very, very frightning passed just to our west, Duras then Bergerac.
Not even a drop of rain here but unusually the strong wind came from the storms not towards them.

We got the heavy rain and high winds here just after I got in with the shopping. It was so muggy that I was really looking forward to my swim but, there are only 2 things that keep me out of the trees, wind and lightning, so I had to wait a while.

When the wind stopped bending the trees I made my way up there, the rain on my back felt like hail it was so sharp, but once in it was great, 19c, but I had to swim up and down through all the floating pine needles, happily not many leaves though. When I came out there didn't seem much point in drying off so I skimmed as best I could in the continuing rain. Still felt good though, and much better than going up there with initially dry skin. :D

A little rain here this morning but the place is parched, no serious downpours for 2 months.

We’ll probably suffer biblical flooding in October.
