I remember central heating. That's the one where you don't have to carry and stack logs and empty ash pans. Happy days.

Lots of grus going over - every night for the last week. A sure sign of the BRRR weather coming.

That's the first time we have heard of grus this autumn.
None here at all this year, what we've had over the last month though is thousands of migrating pigeons, seen every morning and evening.

-2C first thing here in Berkshire, with a forecast high of 5C. Beautifully sunny this morning; glad I’m not going out in the car today, as it will need a lot of scraping - no sunshine at the front of the house to soften it.

We had about 800 grues come over in three separate flights a few weeks ago. Incredible sight and the noise. You heard them coming before you saw them.

As I've said a number of times for me it would be down under, having family there.
Having visited it a number of times I'm always saying " I want to go to Toodyay"
