NO ! It's too early ! You all deserve to be sent back to the UK unless you follow a French etiquette course 😁. According to the old tradition here, we do not wish Happy New Year before December 31 at midnight: that would be impolite, even rude, not to say offending. But, you can do it throughout the month of January (if you send a paper card, do not mail it after the 15th because the Post Office is overwhelmed). Afterwards, it would be also rude or contemptuous, not to mention offensive.
But I can still wish you to end the year well with lots of good things to eat and drink.
I will return to the air soon to wish you everything you wish for me for 2024

Definitely not for me either !!!
Many people here have also given NY wishes - perhaps if you're not going to see people for a while they take an earlier opportunity. With the cost of sending cards these days, they'll soon be a thing of the past.
