Wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year and thank you for all the help.
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

Maybe I should have posted this in the jokes section (couldn't find a tease section...)
In English, you wish Happy New Year. But how long is the year "new" ? 1 month, 2 or 3 months ? And after ? Are the wishes expired ?🤔
In France, we wish a Bonne Année, which implies 12 full months, which seems less stingy...
Just a thought... Certainly not a criticism !
Don't change anything: I love you all as you are ! 🥰
Demain est le premier des jours qu'il nous reste à vivre: profitons-en ! :D

It's not stingy! It covers the whole year but you're wishing it in the 'New' bit  Probably something to do with indefinite articles coming after a COD unless it's in the past tense, there's an 'R' in the month and you're wearing lipstick
