My MGBGTV8 must have seemed quite slow at 120mph but it was quick enough for me. Above 70 you couldn't hear the radio

Gotta be one of ,if not the best, looking car ever designed.
I know a few E Type owners in the UK who all use them as status symbols & rarely drive them. What a waste!

For the second time this snapshot, a rather flamboyant young man arrived, almost running and left in a hurry. No video or audiotrack, only one picture.

@L Austin France and
Ridiculous, I used to work away during the week and had a Ford Escort company car. Imagine my delight when able to get the E-Type out at the weekend and during holidays.
I won a bet one weekend. I drove from Halifax to Hyde Park Corner in under 2 hours. 1h 55 mins! I had an independent observer in the car with me. No chance these days!

If it was the roadster model you wouldn't be able to hear yourself think over the wind noise and rattles. The GT was a great improvement. A friend of mine has one at the moment. Lucky sod.

It was the GT. Loved it. Went touring in Switzerland in the late 70s and on our way we were close to a French village where I had spent 2 holidays as an exchange student. Called in to see the family for the first time in over 10 yeats and all the neighbours came to see us. Maurice the local mechanic/handyman was there. When i opened the bonnet he was gobsmacked as he had never seen a V8 and thought it had 2 engines
