Weather ... again

#291 Post by Polly »

A lovely start to our day, sunny, warm and very still - a hot air balloon seemed to be hanging in exactly the same place, but eventually drifted away.

Still sunny and warm when we arrived at Marseille airport but by take-off we had steady rain.

On arrival at Heathrow it was pleasantly sunny and warm, 20C - nice not to feel sweaty. I had a pleasant walk round our garden on arriving home - such a lot needs doing out there after being away for 3 weeks, the grass in particular has obviously thrived on the diet of rain and sunshine.

Try The Weather Channel, GAO. By looking at both, which usually contradict each other, you can hedge your bets and pick the one you fancy

Expecting heavy storms this afternoon here in '49.

We seem to have avoided the really bad storms for years. Not looking forward to it!

It has rained almost all day since I got up this morning. It only stopped for an hour. Only 17°. It was warmer and sunnier in Portsmouth.

Longest day! Feels like Autumn already

We spent just over a week in southern Finistère (29) followed by just over a week near Cap Fréhél (22). Most of the time there was a constant cold north wind and we found ourselves dressing as if it was winter - very relieved to have brought fleeces with us and we only wore shorts a couple of times. As for swimming, even the dog baulked at that and he loves the sea. The best day of all was yesterday, when we came home.

This was the view from our caravan auvent a couple of days ago ....

We had our log deliveries Thursday and yesterday. Very happy for the chilly but dry weather. Today will be the third day of pain stacking it but thankful there was no rain.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
