Interesting, I find, that Bardella is the son of Italian immigrants and that his Tunisian grandparents are muslim.
Shades of certain UK and US politicians...

A mix of hypocracy and "it was ok for my ancestors to migrate, but sod the rest of ya!" It sounds very familiar.

RN spokespersons clearly said that foreign criminals would be deported in the event of repeat offenses (i.e. if they commit another crime after having been punished for a first crime). If you have never committed a crime and have no plans to commit one, there is no need to panic!
As for prohibiting certain "sensitive" jobs for dual nationals, this is perhaps a wise precaution... For example, would you be reassured to know that Franco-Russians work in the Ministry of defense right now? Historically, if you work in the defense field (private or public) and are likely to have access to certain protected information, you and your family are subject to prior investigation.
So this is nothing new and it has never shocked anyone!
This is called the precautionary principle.
What created a controversy in the press was that a former Franco-Moroccan minister of national education wanted, upon her appointment, to make Arabic lessons compulsory in primary schools. Parents of students only questioned the usefulness of such a decision and they were immediately called racist in some press.

I think what's worrying some (Brits) is the voice it gives to those "red necks" as my NZ neighbour so elequently put it. Note how brexshit gave voice and strength to many closet racists, so they felt justified in having a pop at any foreigner in the vicinity. To the point that many foreigners left - regardless of colour or origin.
We're in a very RN (ha - could spell red neck!), so ......
Are the concerns justified?

On a serious note, I wonder what quid pro quo Melanchon and his mates will demand from Macron for their support.
The urban-centred greens, for example, may seek a re-implementation of some of the green measures introduced then rescinded by Macron. This has the potential to become another G-J and farmers' protest on steroids.

The missus tells me it has all kicked off in Paris. I don't understand why it should, given the overwhelming RN voting result almost everywhere.
Still, its decent weather to get out in the streets for a riot and the French do it so well. The Brits should take a lesson in that respect.

On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
