Weather ... again
That’s rotten luck - hope you’ll be off soon.
Hot and humid again today in Berkshire, 28C and feeling rather uncomfortable. We can’t get at our portable aircon unit or fans, as all the fitted furniture from the dining room (used to be the office) is in the garage, blocking access to them until the new carpet is fitted and the furniture is moved.
I’ll be much happier with the temperature tomorrow - the high is forecast to be 22C.

No take off still.
We are stuck on an outer stand so they have been burning fuel whilst waiting.
So they decided to refuel. And the refuelers broke the cap to the fuel filler.
So now we wait engineers.
I hope the pilots still have enough hours.
Half the passengers were from yesterday's cancellations - so they are really hacked off.
It is getting like "The gasman cometh".

Where are you going?
I’m flying to the UK tomorrow and the weather here is absolute crap at the moment, hoping for the best planning for the worst.

We've been cooking here for the third day, giving me a chance to get all the mowing and strimming done on the whole patch completed together. A very rare result here due to the time/weather required to achieve it. Absolutley knackered now and not a beer to be found anywhere. Off to town tomorrow to rectify the situation.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

We went to Toulouse yesterday evening to pick up some friends. The forecast was for storms and the clouds looked threatening but happily the flight wasn’t delayed. Coming back OMG. As we got to Golfech the rain started with a violent lightning show all around as well. All the road marking disappeared under water. Drivers were whizzing past us at god knows what speed. It was terrifying. My OH was driving and coped well but I think I would have pulled off the road.

Oh I definitely would have. There are some crazy drivers out there. I'd rather live to see another day - and not in a hospital...
Glad you all got home safely.

Looking at the tread on my summer tyres, I am not sure they would be very good at clearing water under the tyre.
I remember similar in a sandstorm in Qatar - it was just like in the film Mission Impossible - again there are idiots driving too fast for the visibility.

Not that long ago I was travelling south on an autoroute in very misty conditions. Visibility restricted to maybe 100 metres as long as the car ahead had their lights on. Several couldn't be bothered. For morons like those, fully autonomous cars looks like a good idea.
