After 22 years our first battle with moles. We gave it a try with coffee ground. Cease fire for nearly three days. Now he/she is back. Back to square one, restart procedure.

We haven't got moles, but what beautifully green grass you have ..... all we have here are dried up weeds and earth !

I was once content with kicking these molehills over, until I nearly broke my ankle where the ground sank into the runs. Back to the petard. Just one mole caused dozens of hills, but I got the bugger.

+1 for petards.

but the hills make great loam for plants.

Has anyone tried the Belgian method ?
(they bury them alive... yes, I know, it's cruel! 😁)

Don't you have to catch them first in order to bury them?
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

That was absolutely HILARIOUS !. I can so relate. He was brilliant. You've made my day with that.

We've tried coffee grounds, yeah right, garlic, water, oil. Gasoline, works for 24 hours and that's it, then they're back. The petards, we have not tried yet, but I seriously doubt they will have any lasting effect. And, if your neighbors have them (the moles) and don't or can't control them, they will always be back. We have learned to live with them as there really doesn't seem to be any other option.

Yes, if I could, I would bury them alive or strangle them with my bare hands. They are horrible. They will completely destroy your garden. Fluckers !
