My daughter took her driving test in Bosnia (before it became dangerous) and was reprimanded by the instructor for not using the horn enough.

Congratulations. Although I consider myself to be a reasonably good driver (who doesn't), I am not sure I could just breeze through the tests today, without doing the homework.

Thank you ! After continuous studying day after day, week after week, my husband said, if anyone can pass - after all this - it will be you. Of course, I did not have his confidence, though I knew there was not much more I could do/study/memorize.

I know. Who does not consider themselves a good driver ? And, believe me, I studied continuously for 9 months. The driving lessons I did take were immensely helpful. She taught me quite a lot about driving in France and taking the test.

Well done, Lori ! I'd hate to have to retake a test now !! I think most of us need reminding of things from time to time, we develop certain habits ....

Congrats Lori. I am seriously impressed.
Having done the study and passed the test, you must now know why some of the French drivers we see do the things they do.
I can only surmise they are taught to do it.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Thank you.

We saw all kinds of crazy drivers while we were out with the Auto Ecole teacher. Several very unsafe moves were witnessed. I said to her - I have no idea how these drivers passed their exams. She reminded me that not all drivers on the roads in France have passed the exams.
