Labs on strike 20-23 September

Laboratories (not dogs) are striking between 20-23 September in protest over the govt's latest economic measure, reducing lab fees. The last strike was apparently followed by 95% of companies.

Thanks for that Mad .. OH is having fortnightly blood tests usually on a Monday .. so he might be unlucky next week.

The government is really cracking down on costs to it .. and they're beginning to bite. Mind you I agree with the 'taxe lapin' .. to give Drs the chance to charge people who don"t bother to turn up for an appt without good reason.

I agree totally. If someone just doesn't turn up without good reason, they have wasted valuable appointment time, not only for the doctor, but also for another patient. A phone call, even an apology .... :?
That said, there have been occasions when we've turned up very early for appointments and been seen straight away because someone hasn't turned up. In an out before the time of the original appointment - it's a great feeling !
