Ah, but that's the dilemma @RobertArthur . We want the grass to keep growing in the fields to feed the animals, but to stop growing in our gardens! I find myself thinking just that ....

You would think by now that a GM grass would have been developed, that grew just 0,5 cm per year.................

If the ground was hard enough I'd consider letting our boys munch the 'lawn' but then I'd have two sorts of 'hills' to deal with.

I once visited a vide grenier where someone had brought a pair of donkeys to graze next to their pitch, probably to raise funds for a sanctuary. We were fascinated to watch them. Amazed at how skillful they were selecting only dandelion and other weeds leaving the ordinary grass undisturbed. Didn't find anything of interest at the vide grenier but seeing those donkeys made the trip worthwhile.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Supposed to be strimming & grass cutting for a friend today. The mist will clear in a couple of hours, so strimming will be ok. Grass? Not sure...!

All grass now mown and strimmed.kust got to clean the machines and put them to bed "till next year. While cutting I saw a lot of bits of wood on the ground below a very neat, deep hole in a tree. Just waiting to see the woodpecker
