Bringing a UK registered Car to France short-term

#1 Post by Liz »

You now need a UK not GB sticker on your UK registered vehicle.
See:

The UK govt made the decision, Brexiteers can't blame 'The French' nor 'The EU'!
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

I can’t understand the logic behind that one, maybe somebody could explain.

Making Northern Ireland feel included - Great Britain (GB) does not include Northern Ireland whereas the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) does.

So no sausages - but hey-ho - can't have everything.

Friends who are returning to the U.K. on Saturday changed their GB for a UK yesterday. It looks odd. So odd.

Got it.

What will they do when the the inevitable happens and Ireland becomes one nation again?

I’m sure there is a song in there.

Drive around NI with a UK sticker on your car? - not a good idea!

I wouldn't be surprised if it was another nice little contract run by someone closely connected to a Tory MP .....

But yes, it would appear it is to include NI. Many of the old GB stickers had the ring of stars on them - that is being replaced by a Union Jack, just so your car can stand out nicely in a foreign crowd!

But NI already has it's own 'NI' stickers, which offend no-one...

I'm guessing the steering wheel being on the wrong side might also be a giveaway.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
