Deliveries from the UK
Just received 2 deliveries
Marks and Spencer ordered Monday delivered today,
Lakeland ordered yesterday also delivered today, both by DHL.
No notifications of any customs charges to date. The delivery was originally scheduled for Monday but at 11am this morning I received a text to say they would be delivered today. They arrived at 14.30.
Excellent service from both companies and DHL.

Re: Deliveries from the UK
I tried to order a calendar from the UK to be told by the mamazine that produces it they weren't shipping over to the EU because of all the costs and paperwork involved. They suggested an online shop in France that does them. OK I looked. About 11 euros for the calendar, shipping costs etc. around 14 euros. No thanks!

The big companies seem to have their act together over exporting to the EU. I’ve had hassle free deliveries from M&S, sports direct and Amazon UK. I guess it’s the smaller companies that are having the problems.

M&S .fr and .com are delivered from Ireland, I think. Unfortunately the range isn’t as wide as .uk. However I’m pleased to be able to get my undies from there.
The last time I looked at Lakeland they couldn’t guarantee there wouldn’t be additional costs so not only was I surprised there didn’t appear to be any but from placement to delivery it couldn’t have been quicker.

In the last few days I've had several refunds from Amazon UK for items ordered in April/May from companies in the marketplace which were fulfilled by Amazon and described as "Export fee reduced". On the original orders they were described as Import Fees Deposit.

Re: Deliveries from the UK
I sometimes find Amazon useful but my god what a useless website. They really should take some lessons from Ebay where you can set loads of filters to narrow down your search. And it is very clear who you are buying from and where they are located. In maybe ten years I have had only two problems with an ebay purchase and both times the refund was very speedy.
additional edit: And when using Amazon I often check the feedback on a product. Most of the time I want to see the 1 or 2 star ratings. Amazon often says these are not currently available. So their customer review section is essentially a sham.

Re: Deliveries from the UK
I have received a few Amazon packages recently which have clearly been opened, presumably by French(?) customs and not resealed properly. In one case an item, a book, was missing and in another the package was open to the elements on the side so could easily have lost its contents. An oying.
