For the second day in succession, we enjoyed a short, sharp thundery shower yesterday.

Already there are signs of the grassed areas showing green.
Which of course means the mower will be back in action soon. sigh

We are having proper rain. I watch the thunderstorms very closely as we have been struck by lightning before and I get very anxious about it. Tonight we have two storms. One coming from the SW one from the North East. I’ve only witnessed this a couple of times and it has been nasty so I’m on tenterhooks. Lafitte sur Lot lost loads of rooves and serres à couple of weeks back, the Old Peoples home took a direct hit in Port St Marie. Im hoping this will not give us a hail storm as the vendange is about to start and they’ve had a terrible year already.

It does look a bit "exciting". I too hope you avoid the hail.

No hail but four lightning hits around us in quick succession. It’s at it’s worst when storms come in from opposite directions as happened last night.

That sounds very nasty, Headers

No rain here in Berkshire but it’s noticeably cooler and it’s forecast to be a mixture of cloud and some sun, with a high of 26C.
