Very dark and cloudy with drizzle this morning, 3.5mm over night.
Never mind with the clocks going back an hour tonight it'll be lighter at 8am tomorrow.
Most of Europe having decided not to do the annual changes back in 2018 still havn't got their act together.

It’s decidedly dark grey down here on the Côte d’Azur. We are bracing ourselves for an ‘episode mediterraneen’ and they usually end up in tears for someone. Meanwhile the wind is getting stronger and the rain heavier. Henry dog says he’d rather not go out, thank you.
Last night we had dinner with English friends we hadn’t seen for two years. We ate outdoors and it was lovely (coats on!).

We had a terrific downpour at about 5am this morning and now the sun's out again and it's very mild outside.

Dark heavy black sky here with yet more rain and 'tis cold. I'm really not looking forward to Winter this year, I've got a feeling we might have a normal cold one after the last few years of having really mild ones. It will be nice to get out with the camera if it snows properly though. :)

It’s starting to clear up here which is good because there is a possibility of seeing the Aurora tonight a fair distance down the UK

Thats wonderful if you see it.Only seen it once and that was down in Hampshire many years ago when the evening sky was lit up over towards Basingstoke.

I saw it in Iceland a few Christmas’s ago. I know a lady whose sister lives not far from me but in the hills with no light pollution and facing north and they have seen faint glimmers a few times

What a sight, and one I have missed, despite once crossing the Arctic Circle.
A bit warmer here today, about 16C, the pond was 11C but afterwards skimming was a thankless affair. As fast as I could collect a bunch of leaves a brief breeze blew up and brought a whole lot more down. There were only marginally less when I left than when I started. :(

We seem to have caught the tail of the fronts that dropped massive amounts of rain on my former stomping grounds of The Lakes, Borders and NE England. Have collected the best part of an October's worth of rain in just 24 hours. Next week looks like more of the same so I expect the spring in our cave will start up again. Can live with that.
