Just finished mussels from nice market man cooked marinière style with baguettes from local bakers' wood fired oven.
1.5 kg between the two of us was just enough :D

I have just enjoyed a cheesy cauliflower gratin with bacon using this recipe as a base:

OH not eating tonight as feeling poorly after eye treatment so I could indulge in a very cheesy version! I put breadcrumbs on top with the cheese.

I have previously made the dish with fennel as well as cauli, leeks instead of onion, and no cheese on his half. On my own sometimes no bacon if none in the fridge.

I prefer it, however I make it, with peas rather than a salad.
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

Just made a "Bran and Sultana" loaf so tonight just that with lots of butter and some cheddar cheese.

It'll be stew tonight because I can cook that on top of the cuisiniere - I don't want to use the electric cooker at the moment. :D
