I had not realised that being peeved by noisy, inconsiderate neighbours was the preserve of religious types, quasi or otherwise.

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend - the weather is gorgeous here, certainly makes a nice change from the continual rain. :D

Please send a bit of that continual rain - a week's worth would not go amiss.

I am late to the weekend so I hope you all had a good time
Here Fixit and I did nothing much at all, we didn't even share a seasonal chocolate egg
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

A long morning in the forest but a lot of very happy runners and riders. Perfect conditions for walking and cycling, overcast but quite warm after a fresh start, no rain and light winds. 350 turned up so a record for us. I am happily knackered.

Our weekend had nothing to do with Easter or relaxing ... We were doing the final weekend formation to get back our Secouriste-équipier diplômes (same first aid training as the pompiers) which had lapsed due to not recycling/moving etc. We are members of the SNSM (French lifeboats) and do first aid duties as and when required. I joined the Protection Civile 18 years ago and practices change, hence the importance and obligation of the annual recycling or formation continue. There was far less pressure than when I first did it - in those days you were examined on the last day by a board and if you fouled up, that was it - fail. These days it's continuous assessment so they make sure you're up to it ! That said, it was more of a revision for us so it was really enjoyable.

Our Dutch neighbours turned up on Friday and left yesterday. It had rained up until Thursday pm and began again around teatime yesterday. Between times, it was lovely, sunny and sitty-outy weather.

Our neighbours reaction was "You are so lucky living here full; and it's always so green!" :?

They forget, all that green needs cutting & pruning.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
