Here are a couple of our two mutts, from photos I took to asking AI to "make them into cartoons". Not very flattering of Fifi, she's nowhere near as fat !

I used Gemini AI. It's free and you do it on line. You can create any sort of effect you want.

That side of AI is good fun ,there’s some very dodgy videos appear on Social Media major disasters and people saying how terrible they are until you point out that it they were real they would have made the news world wide

Unfortunately people are using it to write text for themselves which is fine until you find that at uni, say, several people have similar work. Teaching staff won't have any idea if the students really know/understand what they have learnt or not.

No-one's saying it doesn't matter and what you do privately is your own business. The problems can arise if a group of people produce similar texts.

maybe not if they gain employment for example as a nuclear inspector. AI might have a role there but probably not to the exclusion of human brain cells
